In front of and '!!Many Bothans died.! This figure is not up for debate. It is based on a direct analysis of the film visuals. Calling it an 'Expanded Universe claim' is a straight-up lie.Based on a link the OP provided, the source for this claim is by a Star Trek fundamentalist whose primary goal is to make the Star Wars universe look like a primitive backwater so that he can feel better about his own favorite science-fiction setting. His argument for the (obviously wrong) 468m length is as follows:. In some early official blueprints, the ISD is described as being 468 meters long.

These figures are known to be based on early concept art that was later changed. The blueprints are correct, because the Millennium Falcon appears in them, and seems to be about the same size relative to the Star Destroyer as it is relative to the Star Destroyer in the movie. If you can't see the incredibly obvious problem with this logic, I'll spell it out: the blueprints could just as easily have made the Millennium Falcon much smaller than it is canonically, so the relative sizes prove nothing. In fact, pinning down the canonical size of the Falcon is tricky, because the interior and exterior sets implied different sizes, so using it as a measuring stick is a bad idea.Meanwhile, we have comparison shots to the Tantive IV, which has a known minimum size, and the Lambda-class shuttle, which had consistently scaled interior/exterior sets, and therefore makes a much better measuring stick than the Falcon. These all support a length of 1.6km, and can't be overidden by non-canonical blueprints and an incredibly flimsy argument.(oh, he also seems to think the blueprints are canon; I have no explanation for how someone could believe that). For the record, I have nothing against Trekkies, which is why I specified that this guy is a fundamentalist - the vast majority of Trekkies are sane and rational people. Hell, my only real problem with Trek is that I think Starfleet's ships look ugly. But 'Who would win a fight, the Federation or the Empire?' Is a question that was settled over a decade ago.

The people who were genuinely curious looked at it, figured out that the Empire was a lot more powerful, and then let it go. The only people who still try to argue against the consensus are those who treat the question as a proxy for 'Which is better, Star Trek or Star Wars?' Naturally the ones challenging the consensus that the Empire would win are usually Trekkies. There's sources at the bottom.

Some guy that did the original work created a page somewhere. He pulled the numbers from the official SW encyclopedias on various ships. He did the same for Star Trek too I think.Granted, the numbers are simply made up for each franchise.

Who's to say a mark II fusion generator on a SD does 1000 GW instead of 10 GW?But they took the official canon specs for each series' ships and compared them. It's SW by a stupidly large landslide.Even going by just what's in the movies and comparing them visually, SW still has the edge. Death Star just wins. But also balance out the Enterprise, the biggest baddest Federation vessel is on par with Klingon war birds.

And their whole civilization and technology is geared towards war.Even the war focused parts of Star Trek, the alien and more advanced parts, the scary parts, still don't hold a candle to SW. Even the more basic, run of the mill vehicles in Star Wars are just way more powerful than anything in Star Trek.Like the Slave I versus the Enterprise.

Okay, the Slave I is a heavily modified Firespray class patrol vessel with numerous illegal modifications that make it more potent. Okay Enterprise versus the Falcon.Falcon still outclasses it speed and navigation wise and power wise. Maybe not in the way of straight firepower? But the Falcon isn't much of a head on fighter. It's quads still pack a hell of a punch.

Okay.versus an X-wing? X-wing flies all over that thing. It's torpedoes still destroy the Enterprise with each shot. That's 6 dead enterprises at least from one x-wing.Enterprise versus.a TIE.

Or a cloudcar. Then I'll give the Enterprise the win. Maybe against a Y-wing. But Y-wing's still have shielding and the punch to annihilate the Enterprise. Really only basic TIEs are less than the Enterprise to me. And that's because they lack shields. As soon as it's Enterprise versus a flight, or god forbid a squadron (which is the operational standard for TIEs, overwhelming by numbers) then the Enterprise loses. It just can't win.

There is no real way to compare the two anywayYou can readily do this for certain areas, you just need to be able to find common starting points. Speed of ftl drives for instance over a galactic distance, when we know the rough sizes of the galaxies involved. Firepower is another example, where you can draw rough conclusions based on when weapons have been used against similar naturally occurring targets, e.g. So we can measure what things like weapons are capable of, but as for how they do it? Well thats suspension of disbelief - as you say they both break known physical laws. Firepower is difficult to determine because the sources for power are inconsistent. For example it takes a fleet of star wars ships to destroy a planets surface while a constitution class TOS era ship is apparently by itself arms well enough to sterilize a planet.

Enterprise era nx class ships alone with their weak particle weapons were capable of creating a massive crater on a moon and a shockwave that rippled across the whole surface.A hand powered phaser from TNG was able to disintigrate miles of stone aqueduct with just one shot.Of course the issue is like most long running fiction you have massive continuity errors and inconsistencies for the sake of drama. The only thing we really know for sure is that Wars ships are faster by a large margin due to hyperdrive vs warp.

I play it with my daughter.:-)Check out the help section and there are several videos.Basically, though, you download the zip, and unzip it into your c:usersyournameAppDataRoaming.minecraftsaves directory. You may not be able to see the AppData directory, since it is normally hidden. You might go to control panel and search for 'show hidden files'. Or you can just type the name into the address bar and it will work. This is assuming you are using Windows.Dude what if he is using a mac, mac's are better than pc any day.for the record macs are horrible computers use windowsPersonally I prefer macs, but windows are nice for their own benefits.Thats a good way of thinking. I prefer windows but thank you for not having prejudice!
