The one to the left is not actually broken, as if I press it the start menu still opens, but the shortcuts are not being recognized. Best bet would be use external keyboard and see if issue follows, although that really doesn't prove that the keyboard is faulty or it's an OS issue because the data input is different between the two.I will agree with the spidy senses, these types of issues with 8/10 are becoming more and more prevalent. I've had them myself, like windows keys not working, not being able to right click, etc and OS reinstall always fixed the issue. Theres def some flukey stuff going on with user and external device input on this 8/10 OS platform.

If you just upgraded from Windows 7 or Windows 8 to Windows 10, but you didn’t chose the option path of letting Microsoft do it for you by upgrade reservation and informing you to upgrade. Rather you downloaded ISO from Microsoft website or any other reliable source or by using media creation tool, and did a clean install of Windows 10 over Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
