I wish they had a larger thickness of this (if they do i haven't come across it) for some of the larger cracks. Application is easy, but will take some time. Also recommend to use a standard 20 lb propane tank w/a torch, the smaller hand held propane torches don't last & will kill your back. This product works very well. As another person commented, I move the product along the crack, melting it with the MAPP torch as I go.
I melt a few inches at a time, not just the bottom part. It seems to use less to fill the cracks to do it this way, I'm not sure, but it certainly works faster. It also allows you to fill narrower cracks without the mess of stretching the product out. This product works very well.

Good product. Fits better if cut lengthwise to fit the crack's thickness. Use scissors, tar cleaner and paper towels to periodically clean the scissors. Cut pieces shorter than 4-6'. Once the cracks are filled, it's easy to melt with the recommended long handle torch. If a lot is used in a double layer make sure it's completely melted or apply in two passes. As another reviewer suggested, have a cool beverage of your choice close at hand.

Takes a bit of trial and error to establish a good technique, but once you get it, it goes pretty quickly. Probably the closest thing to the professional crack sealer that you see on roads and parking lots. Initially used a heat gun but propane torch worked quicker.
Can melt into the crack like melting a candle or lay in the crack and melt in-place. Bonds nicely with the asphalt, especially if you heat the asphalt while heating the filler. I had an estimator from a sealing company give me a $1,500 price to seal my driveway but told me a little secret about 'CRACK STIX'.needless to say I saved me a bunch of money to get the same job done. On the negative side it was obvious there was some sealing done which did not match the old faded drive way, I can live with that for the $1,435 difference.
